This monumental match against Omaha marked the largest attendance ever recorded for a women’s sporting event, surpassing the previous world record of 91,648 set in 2022 during a UEFA Women’s Champions League match between Barcelona and Wolfsburg at Camp Nou.

On Nebraska Day, the excitement reached new heights as the Nebraska volleyball team delighted a record-breaking crowd of more than 92,000 fans. In a thrilling outdoor match at Memorial Stadium, the Huskers dominated Omaha with a 3-0 sweep, never trailing in any of the sets. The announced attendance of 92,003 not only marked a historic moment for Nebraska volleyball but also set a new world record for the highest attendance at a women’s sporting event, surpassing the previous record of 91,648 fans at a 2022 soccer match between Barcelona and Wolfsburg.
This monumental day was a testament to Nebraska’s deep-rooted love for volleyball, where the motto “There is No Place Like Nebraska” resonated strongly. The Huskers showcased their prowess on the court, winning all three sets decisively with scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-13.
Seven players contributed multiple kills, with Andi Jackson leading the charge with eight kills on 12 swings. Harper Murray and Lindsay Krause added six and five kills, respectively, while Bergen Reilly delivered 19 assists, seven digs, and three kills. Lexi Rodriguez shone defensively with 15 digs and three service aces, ensuring the Huskers maintained control of the match.
